I personally took the One Funnel Away Challenge! Here, in my One Funnel Away Challenge Review, I’ll give you the truth about what you get, what is good and what is bad about it.
The One Funnel Away Challenge is presented by Russell Brunson and his team at ClickFunnels. It’s a 30-Day training course with the goal of helping you create a sales funnel for your products or services that allows you to achieve your ultimate business and lifestyle goals.
Now, you don’t have to use ClickFunnels to build your sales funnel. There are other software tools you can utilize to create your funnels. Just keep in mind that the One Funnel Away Challenge is geared towards using ClickFunnels—which is a great software tool (and you do get a free trial).
Signup and Unboxing
Not long after a signed up for the Challenge, I received a big box of my course materials. While I’ve heard that it took a while for some people to get their package, I did receive mine right away. Now, you can sign up for a digital only version of the course, however I prefer to have the hard copy materials.
Having the physical training materials helps to keep you more motivated for the challenge. It’s a great resource to have even after you complete the course, and it doesn’t cost that much more than the digital only version. The digital version costs $100, while the physical versions is $19.95 more—to cover shipping of the material.
The main items you receive for the One Funnel Away Challenge are the following:
OFA Challenge Workbook
Although you can download the PDF files during the course, with the workbook you can just fill in the exercise assignments in one place. And, it makes it more convenient to work on it wherever you want.
30 Days Hardcover Book
This is a great book that contains interviews with some of the most successful entrepreneurs. They all give their advice on what they would do if they had 30 days and they had to start all over again!
If you’re like me, it’s probably been a while since you had an mp3 player. But this is another great resource that lets you listen to the training at your convenience—whether you’re exercising or just relaxing somewhere.
Access to Online Members Area
What’s great about the OFA online members area is that you still have access to it even after you complete the course. So, you can always go back and watch the videos.
Access to Facebook Group
The OFA Facebook group is the you get your assignments and where you can communicate with other members that are also taking the One Funnel Away Challenge with you. The only downside here is that (unlike the Members Area) they do close down the group shortly after the challenge ends.
One Funnel Away Challenge Pre-Training
Although the One Funnel Away Challenge is promoted as a 30-Day Challenge, you actually get an extra week of material because the first week is actually what they call a Pre-Training Week. Russell Brunson likens it to an athlete or a sports team gearing up for the regular season.
During this pre-training week, you get to view a number of extended video presentations that are not only entertaining, but also give you some really important tips and concepts that will help you out on your journey. You’ll get to hear Russell’s own story of how he achieved success, as well as some of his followers and customers that have built their own successful online businesses.
You learn how traditional websites actually discourage your customers from buying your products or services. And, how a sales funnel can remedy those issues. You’ll also find out all about the Hook, Story, and Offer that you need to present to your potential customers. And you’ll learn about the concept of funnel hacking.
One Funnel Away Challenge Week 1
In Week 1 of the challenge, you’re building on the fundamentals that you learned in the pre-training, and Russell goes over the concepts you need to utilize when you actually start to build your funnel.
Russell also covers the 3 markets that generate the most interest and the most revenue and that you should relate your product back to. You actually do an exercise with Facebook ads to find out what’s working as far as the Hook, Story, and Offer that we touched on in the pre-training.
In Week 1, you learn about the basic parts of the sales funnel, and most importantly, how to add value to your offer to generate more sales.
One Funnel Away Challenge Week 2
Week 2 is all about creating your story to get people excited to buy your products. The big takeaway from this week is to realize that people buy on emotion not logic. And the most important assignment this week concerned publishing–choosing and getting started with letting people know your story and getting your message out.
Russell actually issued us a challenge within a challenge. He said, create content each day for the next 365 days (one year) and:
1. You Will Find Your Voice
2. Your Audience Will Find You
3. You Will Achieve the Impact and Income that You Want
One Funnel Away Challenge Week 3
Week 3 of the challenge is where it gets even more exciting because you now actually start to build your sales funnel with ClickFunnels. As I mentioned earlier, you don’t have to buy ClickFunnels if you don’t want to. There are other software tools you could use.
However, what you can do is sign up for the free ClickFunnels trial and use that time during the One Funnel Away Challenge. What you should keep in mind is that since you don’t start building your sales funnel until week 3 of the challenge, wait until the third week and then sign up for the free ClickFunnels account so you can best utilize your free trial time.
This week Russell went through the core funnel strategy which covered the goals of a funnel and the individual pages—your Squeeze Page, Sales Page, and your OTO page.
A couple of the key takeaways from the squeeze page training are first of all to keep things simple and also remember that you’ve got to peak the visitor’s curiosity about whatever it is you’re offering. And, while the basic principles are the same as your Squeeze Page, generally your Sales Page is going to contain much more content as you explain your story to your audience. Then, you have your OTO page. OTO stands for one-time offer, and it’s a special additional offer you make to someone that has already decided to buy your initial product.
One Funnel Away Challenge Week 4
his last week of the challenge focused on getting traffic, analyzing results, and making adjustments to your sales funnel when needed.
When it comes to getting traffic to your sales funnels, Russell talked about the three different kinds of traffic, and that is:
Traffic That You Control
Traffic That You Earn
Traffic That You Own
Traffic That You Control is your paid ads whether it’s Google, Facebook, etc. Traffic That You Earn is your SEO and organic traffic. Traffic That You Own is your email list traffic—which is really your ultimate goal since the money you can make off your list is really pure profit where you don’t have to pay any additional money for ads and things.
Now, when it comes to testing, analyzing, and modifying your funnel, Russell admitted that most sales funnels don’t work the first time out. However, because at this point you’ve already done most of the work, you usually only have to make a few tweaks here and there to come up with a winner.
When you’re analyzing your sales funnel, you’re looking at your ads to get people to your opt-in page, as well as your opt-in page itself, your sales page, and your OTO or one time offer page. And within each of these areas, you need to evaluate your hook, story, and offer, then make the necessary adjustments.
So, over all I really enjoyed the One Funnel Away Challenge. I think it’s definitely worth the $100 that you pay for it. Believe me, you get a lot more training and value than you do with other training courses that you’d pay much more money for.
Here’s what I liked about the challenge:
I really liked the training materials—both the online materials and the items you get in your One Funnel Away package, which I went over in one of my previous videos.
I really liked both the actually training assignment videos, but also the videos of past ClickFunnels events where you get to find out how Russell and some of his customers have achieved their great online success.
I thought the course was structured really well—even with all of the material that is covered in the course.
Here’s what I didn’t really like about the challenge:
Very early on there is some upselling for some rather expensive packages. You don’t have to purchase them to continue with the challenge or to create your sales funnels in the future. And, while I certainly expect some upselling offers, I did think it was a little early for that. But, not really a big deal—you’re not obligated to buy anything.
It might have been nice to stretch the course out over maybe one more week. But, I get that from a marketing standpoint packaging the course as a 30-Day training makes sense. You just need to be aware that you should make a commitment up front to keep up with the course training. Although, like I said, you can always go back and view the videos if you fall behind.
Recommendation and Bonus
So that’s my take on the One Funnel Away Challenge from ClickFunnels. I think it’s well worth the $100 cost given all the materials and training that’s included. I think anyone that wants to be successful with their online selling and digital marketing can really benefit by taking the challenge.
