How does GetResponse compare to ClickFunnels when it comes to sales funnels and digital marketing? In this comparison of GetResponse vs ClickFunnels, we’ll take a closer look at how these two software tools match up. And, I’ll give you my personal insights based on my experience using both GetResponse and ClickFunnels.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: Overview
|Speed and Performance:|
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: Features
GetResponse includes all the critical features you need for a complete digital marketing campaign—including email autoresponder, page builder, reporting analytics, and sales funnels.
While ClickFunnels provides more advanced sales funnel features, they do require you to purchase their premium version ($297 mo.) if you want features like email lists and follow-up funnels.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: User Dashboard Interface
GetResponse provides an easy to use and very intuitive dashboard that provides quick access to all of your digital marketing functions.
While ClickFunnels does provide easy ways for you to get started creating your sales funnels, it is sometimes hard to find the functionality you’re looking for. Also, a number of what look like are feature options require you to purchase the premium edition of the software.
In this category, GetResponse gets the edge with an easier and more intuitive interface.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: Creating a Funnel
Both GetResponse and ClickFunnels allow you to quickly and easily create a sales funnel. With GetResponse, you utilize their Conversion Funnels feature that guides you through the process of generating a funnel template that you then customize to your needs.
ClickFunnels provides two different ways you can build your funnel. You can use the Classic Funnel Builder that walks you through the funnel creation process, or you can use the Funnel Cookbook process that simplifies things even more by offering specific items you can choose from when creating your sales funnel.
In terms of content, ClickFunnels provides many more funnel templates to choose from as well as more options when building your funnel. However, the cost is significantly higher than what you pay for GetResponse.
I like the funnel creation process with both GetResponse and ClickFunnels. For beginners and a lot of other business owners, GetResponse Conversion Funnels will work fine. However, if you need a more sophisticated sales funnel process, then ClickFunnels would be a better fit.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: Performance
As far as working within these software tools, I find GetResponse runs a bit faster. With ClickFunnels, it sometimes takes a bit longer for your funnels to be generated. But it isn’t that big of a disparity and your mileage may vary depending on the type of funnel you create.
On the other hand, while GetResponse webpages performed fine, when it comes to sales funnel webpage speed, ClickFunnels posted faster times.
While sales funnel speed isn’t usually as critical as traditional website performance speed, ClickFunnels does get the advantage in this category.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: Integrations
You can easily integrate GetResponse with WordPress via their plugin.
While ClickFunnels does many things well, unfortunately integrating with existing websites isn’t one of their strong points. You can definitely connect to your own website, but the process requires that you to go to your domain registrar and add a subdomain to your main domain name before you can connect your sales funnel in ClickFunnels.
The process is easier if you just want to use your own domain exclusively with your ClickFunnels sales funnel—or of course, if you purchase a domain through ClickFunnels. They also now have their own WordPress plugin.
However, as far as integrating your funnels and landing pages with an existing website, GetResponse is the winner.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: Customer Support
I am very impressed with the customer support you get with GetReponse. They provide true live chat support, and the response times have been excellent whenever I’ve needed to contact them. The support agents are courteous and have been able to answer any questions I’ve had.
ClickFunnels does include onboarding help when you’re first getting started. However, they utilize an automated chat support that provides pre-programmed answers to questions. If you don’t get the answer you’re looking for, you can opt to connect to a live person, however it may be a long wait, or there will be a support ticket created and you’ll have to wait for a response to it.
Given the higher cost of ClickFunnels, the lack of true live chat support is disappointing. While there are other avenues to get help with ClickFunnels, when it comes to customer support, GetResponse is the winner.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: Value
There is definitely a big price disparity between GetResponse and ClickFunnels. That’s not to imply that you don’t get value with both of these products. But while ClickFunnels provides more in-depth features when it comes to sales funnels, even their base level plan costs $97 mo. And, if you want a more complete set of tools with ClickFunnels, you’ll need to opt for their premium plan which costs you $297 mo.
Contrast ClickFunnels prices with those of GetResponse where for only $15 mo. you get a complete suite of online marketing tools. With GetResponse, in addition to their conversion funnels, email marketing, landing pages, signup forms, and marketing automation included in all of their plans. And with their premium level plans costing $49 mo. and $99 mo., you get even more automation features.
So, in the value category GetResponse comes out on top.
GetResponse vs ClickFunnels: Recommendation
While GetResponse and ClickFunnels are both quality solutions for online marketing, for most online businesses I would recommend going with GetResponse.
If you’re looking for advanced sales funnel solutions and can afford the price tag, then you should consider ClickFunnels.
However, if you’re just starting out with your business, or you’re looking for an affordable all-inclusive digital marketing solution, then GetResponse is clearly the better choice.
In my personal experience, I’ve found GetResponse easier to use and I find their customer support to be superior.
