How does DropFunnels compare with ClickFunnels? In this comparison of DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels, we’ll take a closer head to head look at these two sales funnel software tools to determine which one you should choose for your online marketing.
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Overview
|Speed and Performance:|
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Features
DropFunnels and ClickFunnels both include impressive features for your online marketing.
With DropFunnels, you’re really getting a WordPress site that includes the ability to add sales funnels, membership areas, SEO elements, and more. The good news with DropFunnels is that you get all of their features in both levels of their plans.
ClickFunnels includes more advanced follow up funnel features, however to get that functionality you have to purchase their premium version at $297 mo.
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: User Dashboard Interface
Since DropFunnels is built on WordPress, if you’re already a WordPress user, you’ll be comfortable working within the DropFunnels interface as it’s similar to native WordPress. Even if you’re not a WordPress user, the dashboard in DropFunnels is very intuitive and easy to use.
While ClickFunnels does provide easy ways for you to get started creating your sales funnels, it is sometimes hard to find the functionality you’re looking for. Also, a number of what look like are feature options require you to purchase the premium edition of the software.
In this category, DropFunnels gets the edge with an easier and more intuitive interface.
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Creating a Funnel
Both DropFunnels and ClickFunnels allow you to quickly and easily create a sales funnel.
With DropFunnels, you can create your funnels from their page templates where you can manually create each step of your sales funnel. Or, you can use their Full Funnel feature where you get a complete funnel that you can then customize to your needs.
ClickFunnels provides two different ways you can build your funnel. You can use the Classic Funnel Builder that walks you through the funnel creation process, or you can use the Funnel Cookbook process that simplifies things even more by offering specific items you can choose from when creating your sales funnel.
Both ClickFunnels and DropFunnels also allow you to import share funnels that give you even more of a head start. In fact, with DropFunnels you can actually import funnels created in ClickFunnels. Although you may have to go back in and manually re-add or edit certain items that don’t transfer over.
While I like the funnel creation process in both DropFunnels and ClickFunnels, I personally like DropFunnels a bit more and find the editor a little easier to use.
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Performance
Both DropFunnels and ClickFunnels performed well in my testing. Working within the two platforms, I found DropFunnels to function a little faster especially when creating funnel pages.
When it comes to webpage speed of their sales funnels, DropFunnels was very impressive and noticeably faster than ClickFunnels. See sample results below.
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Integrations
With both DropFunnels and ClickFunnels, you can integrate your sales funnels with other applications you may need. For example, you can add email marketing functionality from your email list service such as AWeber.
You can also integrate ClickFunnels with shopping carts and WordPress. DropFunnels is built on WordPress so you already get the benefits of that platform from within DropFunnels.
While DropFunnels is perfect if you’re selling single product items, if you need a full eCommerce solution then you should consider ClickFunnels. Currently, ClickFunnels does connect to Shopify, however DropFunnels does not.
However, when it comes to adding your own custom domain name, I found the process to be much easier with DropFunnels.
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Customer Support
Both DropFunnels and ClickFunnels include nice onboarding help when you’re getting started. Unfortunately, neither DropFunnels or ClickFunnels offers live chat or phone support at this time.
With DropFunnels, you can join their Facebook Group to post questions or issues. While it isn’t ideal, you do usually get a response very quickly. If you need a direct response from someone at the company, you can create a support ticket.
You can also search the DropFunnels knowledgebase, but it’s not an idea situation as many of my inquiries didn’t find any hits.
ClickFunnels utilizes an automated chat support that provides pre-programmed answers to questions. If you don’t get the answer you’re looking for, you can opt to connect to a live person, however it may be a long wait, or there will be a support ticket created and you’ll have to wait for a response to it. On the plus side, I do have to report that I did receive email responses in a timely manner.
Although neither situation is the ideal customer support situation with DropFunnels and ClickFunnels, I do have to report that whenever I needed help, I did receive it in a timely manner.
Because of the almost immediate response in the Facebook group, I would give DropFunnels the edge here.
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Value
Price-wise, DropFunnels is the better deal with their plans costing $49 mo. and $149 mo. as opposed to ClickFunnels costing $97 mo. and $297 mo. And, DropFunnels also includes their price lock guarantee.
However, when you break down everything that is included in their plans, you do find that ClickFunnels includes more features. For example, ClickFunnels is more eCommerce friendly and with their premium plan you get email functionality.
So, it’s a closer call than you might think at first glance. When it comes to value, I would give DropFunnels the advantage though as you do get the ability to have a fully functioning WordPress site that includes sales funnels and memberships—at a significantly lower price than ClickFunnels.
DropFunnels vs ClickFunnels: Recommendation
So, what’s the bottom line here? Does DropFunnels hold its own against the more established ClickFunnels? In most cases, the answer is yes. But which software platform is the winner in this comparison? It is a close call.
If you’re looking for more advanced sales funnel solutions, more of a total marketing solution, and you can afford the price tag, then I would recommend ClickFunnels.
However, if you’re on a tighter budget, you’re looking specifically for a sales funnel builder and you prefer WordPress, then DropFunnels is a much better choice for you.
Overall, in this comparison DropFunnels is the winner.
